David Sanchez, who recently left McLaren, now holds the position of executive technical director at ‘Team Enstone.’ Despite significant changes within Alpine over the past year, including multiple key departures, Ocon trusts the senior management to improve the team’s current situation. The team’s A524 car has faced challenges in the 2024 season, but upgrades in China resulted in a 2kg weight reduction and Ocon’s 11th place finish in Shanghai marked their best result so far. Ocon emphasizes the importance of progress and trust in leadership, with team-mate Pierre Gasly also stressing the need for performance improvements and future planning with a focus on the 2025 and 2026 seasons. Both drivers are determined to work towards competitive success and address the team’s current shortcomings.
